Day 2 started at 230 am again. Another day of work. I drove my usual way with all the fog this morning it took me a little longer. I stopped at my gas station I like going to only to be told I couldn't come in. 🤔 poor fella working had been robbed 10 mins prior.

I was going to get my $.86 cent worth of water in a 32 Oz cup. While that might seem expensive I honestly stop there for the conversation. He's a nice guy and cheaper than a therapist. 🤷‍♀️😂 so I had to go to a different gas station. Well, I didn't have to but it's literally less than 5 feet from the other. I got my water and went on my way to work.

I took my real butter with me to use for my own personal cooking as all we have there is the fake stuff.

Breakfast, I usually start cooking for the residents at 415 am and finish around 700 am. It doesn't take that long to cook but that does include the cleanup from the pans and paperwork.

My breakfast today was a two egg omelette with shredded cheese and crumbled sausage. I had to cook it well done because I'm not a fan of slimy. I also had two strips of bacon and four pieces of ham with melted cheese. That kept me full until after lunch.

Lunch was a bed of lettuce with shredded cheese, a scoop of sloppy joe and watered down ranch dressing.

I've had a snack of homemade pork rinds, there's a guy that cooks and sells them at his fruit and veggie stand.

Not really hungry right now so may not eat any more today. Maybe because the water I've had, 120 oz of it. That's a decent amount coming from someone who usually drank just soda.

Will probably just brush my teeth and relax the rest of the evening. 🤚

I also said no to donuts at work.

Saying no to the donuts is a HUGE victory and so is getting in the 120 oz of water and cutting out the soda. I’d stay away from the sloppy joe mix stuff since it probably has added sugar, not just tomato sauce or paste. You want to be avoiding the things with sugar added to them and you’re already getting them with the ham in the morning(?) and maybe the sausage(?) do either of them have carbs? It’s another hidden carb trap. LOL Many of us still eat them, but are very aware that they are there and may lead to craving for more sugar. The pork rinds sound great. And salad is always a win! Take care! 🙋🏻

Agree that the sloppy joe I should have stayed away from. The ham when I look at nutrition facts say 1 gram sugar for a serving. Serving is 4 slices (56g) with 1 g carb. Sausage is 1.2 Oz scoop with 1 carb and 0 sugar. It is swaggerty farm mild country sausage patty and hormel natural choice deli sliced smoked ham.

Good wins all around! Especially saying 'no' to the donuts. Big thumbs up to you on that. The carbs/sugars in the other stuff no big deal IMLTHO. As you are just starting out, cutting back bits at a time is just fine. More and more awareness will come with time in the saddle. My basic rule of thumb is if there is sauce involved there are some carbs/sugars hiding in there waiting to ambush me. :P Keep doing what you are doing!

Just nice to be aware of! LOL We all do it. I’m passing it along. LOL Most deli meats and hams are going to have carbs. All sauces will probably have carbs. Most dressings if not vinegar and oil will have carbs, you just pick and chise the ones you wanna eat! LOL Makes it easier as you go through your day. 🤷🏻‍♀️You are trying to kickstart ketosis right now though so you want to try to stay away from processed meat and away from sauces for a few weeks or so until your bidy has truly settled into ketosis. Or you can go at it more gently. 💁🏻‍♀️The choices are always yours. Once you’ve gotten into ketosis it is easier for your body to snap back into it when you have tripped it out doing something. Goid luck!🙋🏻
