Amazing dinner today. Tuna steak, artichoke antipasto, goat cheese and Zinfandel wine of course. I had too much calories today, but that's ok, I made 13 thousands of steps. Half of them while working.

I think that too many calories on some days is okay. I overdid it by over 1500 calories yesterday, but I will be okay. It's funny how cheat days don't spoil the diet. They don't make it more effective either. They just make it more sustainable as they allow you to be human.

I hope you are right ) I had more than 2000 calories today. White bread, cookie, wine, butter - all the stuff that I normally don't eat.

I stalled so I started zig zagging my calories. Some days I have 1000 net and others I have 1700 but I usually average out to 1200-1400 which is where I want to be. I’m working out less right now after surgery but with the zig zag I’m losing again. Not a lot but I’m happy with a little until I can do more than walk a few times a day. I find that I enjoy ‘saving’ calories 5 days a week so that I can have a treat two days a week. Cookies, snickers and cheese are my downfall so I try to throw one of those in each week and now I enjoy my ‘diet’, am seeing slow results and it doesn’t seem so impossible. It sounds to me that you are zigzagging as well :)

The important thing is to be realistic and be accountable for what we eat and why. This way life is much more enjoyable, genuine. When we fool ourselves, with tricks and lies, dieting becomes a burden and progress stalls. Keep up with the realness!
