So many different ideas on healthy eating and what you should and shouldn’t eat and % and the mind boggles 🤯 no wonder so many people find it difficult to loose or maintain weight and I guess everyone is different and have to discover what works for them...
For me cutting down on sugar helped massively as more or less stopped eating cakes 🍰 biscuits 🍪 sweets 🍬 unless birthday or holiday.

I think your right about people telling you what you should and shouldn’t eat personally I’ve never been into fad diets but I do know a lot of people that have lost a lot of weight with them and some of them put it back on again because they find it hard to control once they move away from the fad there’s only one thing that puts weight on too many calories! You shouldn’t have to totally give up chocolate or the things you like remember what your old gran used to say” A little of what you like does ya good! The most weight I have ever gained in my life has been 9Ib that’s not bad to say I’m now 48 and that’s doing nothing on holiday not watched my calories and eating without too much movement but when I return home it comes off again quickly, Mon-Fri I try and eat healthy trying keep my protein high then Saturday and Sunday I don’t care As long as I don’t go over my calories it’s fine you have to live your life.

My trouble with sweet things is when I start I can’t stop! And being quite short I really notice an extra pound or two...

Willpower has to play a big part I’m afraid lol try this when you next eat chocolate have some not it all then drink lots of water 💦 it will probably make you feel full or a bit sick ether way it’ll help stop your craving.
