They’re not the evil the cholesterol police used to tell us. I was furious when I received a “diet sheet” after recent bloods said I had combined cholesterol of 5.3 (good stuff and bad stuff ratio was fine) which said I should avoid eggs, prawns and eat more “low fat jam” WTAF???? 🤬 No jam ever had fat in it (ok, bacon jam probably) and this was for a person whose indicator had reduced from 7.9 to 5.3 and my previous GP was happy with the ratios at 7.9. I hardboil the best part of a dozen every weekend for our lunches and snacks. They stay fresh enough Sunday to the next Saturday.
