It is Monday and I'm off to a new start! After a weekend of mindless eating and falling back into old habits I'm ready to get back to healthier eating. It is funny how I fool myself into thinking that if one piece of desert is good - 2 or 3 would be even better - after all, I can't let it go to waste. But it is not better because I don't truly appreciate the food like I would if I ate in moderation. There is a Japanese saying to eat until your 80% full. I'm going to remind myself that is when I feel the best.
20 minutes on the elliptical this morning and will plan to do another 10-20 minutes after work before yoga class. I haven't been to yoga FOREVER! And our wonderful instructor is leaving mid June to move back to Portland so I need to take advantage of her classes while I can.
