So far so good this week. I have decided to stick with phase 2. I get too burnt out on phase 1 which leads to binge eating on my part. So, that is what i am going to do. I am making chicken/broccoli stir fry with brown rice for dinner. Yay! i love stir fry! Plus, i am avoiding the grocery store as long as possible. I tend to impulse buy so i am steering clear until absolutely neccessary. using what we have! and we have lots of veggies, chicken and whole grains for now. Oh and get this...my daughter got out of school today at 11 for early release and I FORGOT TO GO GET HER!!!!!!!!!! Bad mom award!! I mean, it did not even begin to cross my mind. which makes me wonder if i even knew about it. oh well. i threw on some pants, and brushed my teeth, ran out the door, greasy hair and all and went to get her. only 40 minutes late! no biggie!! worse part is, they supposedly charge $1 a minute each minute you are late! UGH!! we'll see if i get a bill at the end of the month!!

Forgot your daughter.. boy, that brings back memories, ha-ha! I think schools only have half days in order to confuse the parents and trip us up!! It was such a hassle when my kids were little that I usually just kept them home. The school usually didn't even assign work, recess and a movie. We could do that together at home and use less gas. I do the grocery store trick too. If you don't have it you can't eat it, right? Besides I'd rather have a new pair of jeans than a bunch of junk I don't need. Of course, I live alone now so I am only starving myself. Whole grains are great. Phase 1 is tough to maintain! Keep up the good work and good luck on that bill!

Oh well... at least you got her and all is well and safe!! ;) Things happen! Must be a bit stressed out?? Getting back to the grind again will definitely help you with focus and a clearer mind, too! You can do it!! BURN RUBBER GRACIE!!

Oh no! I bet that they did not give much notice and who has an early Tuesday, anyway?!?!!?! Kudos, for sticking through phase one again but there are so many great grains and good starches that you can have now! Don't deprive yourself. Besides it might help with the loss! Have a happy diet! ;)

Oh my gosh, I hope they don't charge you $40 bucks just because you overlooked an early-release day! On top of that, if that makes you a front runner for the BAD-MOM award, I'm in trouble for all the things I've done!! Around here, we call them Mother-of-the-Year awards!! LOL

I think my mom forgot me once too. Weird thing is it probably bothered her much more than it bothered me (after all these years anyway).

Oh ImLuuvd told on me!! LOL Yes, I forgot her at daycare! I stopped to do some grocery shopping before picking her up. Then I just went straight home to put my groceris away. As I was putting them all away when it dawned on me how quiet and peacefull it was in the house... that is when I realized she wasn't there!! had to go back and get her, I was 15 min. late from their closing time and even waaay back then they indeed charged me $15 for being 15 min. late. I felt terrible.. I kept saying, BAD MOTHER, BAD MOTHER to myself.. how can a mother forget her own child!! Personally I'm rather glad you forgot yours too cause it makes me feel better, but at least you have the excuse that this was a "change" of time for you that could have put you off.

Thanks guys!! I am over it now! And my daughter could have cared less. Now i WILL be a tad upset with myself if i have to pay the big bucks for my mistake!

Oh dear! Live and learn, I suppose. In my town we've had more public school snow days and early release days and late start days than I can keep straight. They always seem to happen on days that my husband and I both teach, too, so we are scrambling to find care for our 5 yr old. More than once she's gone with Daddy to his Sociology 101 course! She finds it a bit boring, she says. :) Hope you don't get charged for the mistake. Glad to see you're doing well, though!

Sounds like you have a good plan staying on phase 2. I agree that phase 1 is just too hard to stay on for any longer than you have to.Good luck!

Oh dear - it's easily done though... especially when they go changing the times they come home! I actually forgot to send my eldest to school once... we were still up staying with my parents enjoying what I thought was the last day of the Christmas holidays. Of course then to my horror came home and discovered that he went back to school that day. Alas, he wasn't complaining, but felt a bit bad ringing the school the following day trying to explain that I'd got confused with the primary schools going back a different day. Thankfully no harm done and they just put him down as an authorised holiday absence! My lesson learned though - check the school dates!! Hope you don't get charged though Graciepoo... otherwise an expensive mistake to make.
