I got hit by a drunk driver on March 18. He rearended the car and I got rugburn on my forehead from whiplashing up and forward across the carpet on the ceiling of my car... And I had to get xrays and although nothing is broken, I have to go to physical therapy to treat my whiplash - which hurts bad STILL. Its like every day something else in my neck or shoulders hurts. Soooo I havent been able to work out. I think the only reason I have lost weight is because of the stress I am under. You see, I was driving a 93 chevy beretta which according to Allstate is totalled and only going to be equal to $557 in value. I am getting an attorney. I dont have a car. I have to get to work. If I dont I lose the job. Then what? ...? ...
Well, Mr. Drunk Driver will be sorry he let himself get into the car. And the bar who served him is going to hear about something called "Dram Shop" laws. And Allstate is going to have to admit they are yanking me around because I am female and only 23 and naive. Forget it. Im not playing their games.

If anyone has opinions on next steps to take, I would really appreciate it. Has anyone else gone through this unfair crap?

BUT - I lost weight so that is the highlight of my week.

TTYL AND GOOD LUCK FOLKS!

I'm glad you are alive. If you have not made arrangement with an attornery, try checking your city for free legal counsel. Some large law firms do pro bono work with these nonprofit organizations.

Get that lawyer hunny!!! Truthfully, I don't know how much you can get out of Allstate, I mean, if your car wasn't worth that much, what can they do. But the drunk driver and the bar is who I would go after - especially the driver! Don't people understand what they are doing when they do something like that (Guess not)!? I'm out on those same roads with my children in the car just like everyone else - its scares me so much. Anyway, happy to hear your not to hurt, and good luck with everything!
