I refuse to weigh in while I'm constipated! So new to me. I have had ibs-d for years. Now suddenly it's turned into ibs-c. wth! I really don't know how to handle it. In 3 days plenty of fluids, cranberry juice, apple juice, 2 apples, 6 stool softeners, 3 caps of miralax and today 2 laxatives and so far nothing! So bloated, crampy and half nauseous. I'm not a happy camper. Hoping it all don't let loose while I'm trying to sleep. ☹ prune juice doesn't help either.

I know how you feel, I’ve got ibsc. It’s horrible but it’s gone worse since I’ve become disabled and can’t move around much. I usually give my belly a massage in a downwards movement, if nothing else it helps with the pain. You need to take 2 stool softeners together and then 2 more later in the day followed by laxatives before bed. Plus a belly massage. I hope that this helps you x

Have you tried taking large doses of vitamin C? Try 1000 mg every hour until things move. Also, the squatty potty is no joke. Propping your feet on a stool can help your stool.

yes powdered vit c does work pretty darn fast if you can drink it, generally 5000 did it for me when I did that style of help. senna tea also works well, then of coarse a coffee enema helps. so many options out there when things don't work. so glad I don't deal with that any more. just miserable.

Thx for all the advice. A liquid and miralax clean out for 2 days finally helped. My ins Doctor was on vacation. He's due back Monday. I'm gonna try to get n to see him. It's nice to find people that understand. Exercise does help. Belly ribs made things feel somewhat better. Haven't tried high doses of vitamin c yet.
