Batch cooking......are there any rules?
I.g how long can it be kept in the fridge? Meats, vegs. Never done it before and always worry I'll make myself or kids ill.💜

I never keep anything longer than a couple of days. I know some things last longer. Just be sure to heat it up thoroughly to ensure bacteria is killed off. 😘

What they said 😁. If I'm ever unsure, particularly if a meat-based recipe, I tend to blast thoroughly in the microwave.

I can remember my mother blanching fresh veg and putting it in the freezer, food was never kept in the fridge over 2 days. The guide lines for reheating food, including meats, is for a temperature of at least 180 deg C for 3 minutes must be maintained. Time for the food to get to that temperature is not included in the time shown.
