Back to work! I had a lovely weekend, recorded all my eating too! I got invited to a graduation party - it was fun, even though it was raining! They had lots of tents and lots of grilled food, plus some nice salads. I got to try out the prosecco and peach nectar combo that I read about here! Yummy. What was the third thing in that drink? We didn't have it, but maybe I'll try it! Then a few of my friends went out to the movies and we saw Get Him to the Greek (or something) - very funny although quite cliche-ridden! Good end to a Saturday night.
Sunday afternoon my younger daughter and I went to the Girl Scout bridging - I cried when I delivered my daughter's scholarship certificate, and several people admitted they cried too, hearing about what is in store for them with their little first graders! I only had one small piece of cake and some celery.
My older daughter got a cute job at a cute aquarium at the beach! So, she will be living with her grandma (my mom) this summer. Sad face, but really, she will be WORKING so that is Great!
Projects will culminate this week! Girl Scouts is over on Friday, my black-tie party is Saturday! I might volunteer for Special Olympics on Sunday - not sure why I wouldn't...so then it will be summer!
Working nights is not fun, but then, neither is working days, so I am hanging here until someone else says I am done - I do like sleeping til noon and past noon! My pet birds are a little weirded out on the weekends, when I stay up til 2 in the morning, but they don't really have much choice than to put up with it! I could move the TV, I guess, so they don't have to watch late night with me, but I think they would like that less.
I got re-invited to the weight lifting class by a second friend, so I picked up a schedule at the gym and got a new tag (they changed owners) - it only costs me $30 a month so I think I really ought to take advantage of the classes, now especially when I can get in there for yoga and pilates in the afternoons - expand my horizons while I tighten up everything else, ha ha!
Oh, don't you wish you could find a pile of free money somewhere and never have to work again?
Ok, I am off to measure some stuff for work, dodging airport traffic at 3 am - hope you all have a great Monday, my Monday work day is almost over!
PS - thank you all for your supportive comments these days!
