Tuesday night.

Yesterday was a very happy day. My interview at the clinic went wonderfully, the owner is a MT for 15 more than 15 years, has tons of experience and knowledge to share and she is excited to have me as a student for my practicum. I think we were both excited and happy about this, it was funny! The clinic and the massage rooms are nicely decorated, warm and welcoming.
From what she told me, I may also have found my first job. She wants a "long term commitment", and will allow me to build my clientele as soon as I start my practicum. Every week they have to refuse people for massage, not enough therapists and too many clients. So... If things go well, I have a chance to start my career very soon!

Of course I'm a bit nervous, but I practice positive thinking! And remind myself that it will be made clear that I am a student and clients can't expect the same from me than a registred, experienced therapist.

Thinking about my future, to leave the farm, find a new place to live and meet new people are very good, positive thoughts. Helps me to "forget" about other things...

I have to admit I totally stopped srenght-training. I think I am in a period of adjustment, and in time, it will come back in my daily routine. These days, any spare time is spent studying... I just don't want to give up on exercise.

Have a great evening buddies!

That is fantastic news! How very cool to not only get your practicum set up but have the opportunity to build it into a full time job. I had a massage from a student therapist once and, yes, it wasn't the same as one from a more experienced person but it was still pretty darn good! In my opinion, there are no truly "bad" massages... well, at least not in my experience! It's wonderful that you have so many positive things to look forward to. I understand about missing your strength training - I miss 6 days and was getting withdrawal! But, like everything, strength training takes time and commitment and there are only so many hours in the day. You have your priorities set straight. Fit in the exercise where you can but your classes and practice need your focus right now. Try not to feel guilty about it. Your schedule will open up eventually.
