I was at work and heard it come over the radio. Everyone in the plant stopped working to listen to what was going on.

I was a freshman in highschool. My dad had flown out of NYC that morning and we weren't sure which flight he was on. He was flying to Africa. I'm from NYC so this tragedy hit home and I knew hundreds of kids without dads or moms after that day...I will hold them close to my heart today...

I was a junior in high school, working on the student newspaper. We all watched the TV most of the day. After school everyone flocked to gas stations, which had mile-long lines and were running out of gas, because of the rumor that the gas supply was going to immediately dwindle.

I was sitting on the couch watching in shock, crying. Makes me cry to this day. Lets make this a special day, in rememberance, counting our blessings!!

I was sleeping (I worked third shift) and my room mate woke me up and told me. I rolled back over and went to bed thinking it was all a dream. How I wish it was when I woke up and everyone was glued to the tv.

I was a freshman in high school, on my way to school when my dad and I first got wind of it. We were flabbergasted, but I went to school anyway. The whole day was like a day off school, but you were required to attend unless you had seen a psychologist the school was offering that day. It was really intense, even though we lived on the west coast. We were wondering if there was going to be something happening over here, and what we should do.
