This is crazy how fast I'm dropping now. I know it will slow down, but I'm happy to lose that holiday weight so quickly. I think that forgetting to take my scale with me to San Diego was a significant mistake. Weighing every day keeps me honest and on track, and things don't get out of hand when I know what is happening. Lesson learned.
I went to the gym last night and did a little time on the treadmill just for a warmup, and then lifted weights for my arms and shoulders for about 30 minutes. My arms were noodles when I left, and I'm going to be sore, but I'm sticking to my plan of alternating days of gym and hiking. I feel such renewed hope of achieving my weight and fitness goals this year!
