Massage seem as the ticket to much better days right now. My muscle doctor explained more about his strategy for my cramped upper back when I went for my second session yesterday.
He's working on getting the blood circulating around my problem spot, and he has to do it gently in order to avoid worsening inflammation. He's confident in being able to repair the area over a few sessions.
Work related stress injury. I've had this cramped up muscle pain for years.
One thing I found weird, is that my sleep monitor said I had a nap the whole 90 minutes I had massage and heat therapy. I remember it all, so I wasn't sleeping. When I went to the truck after I was dizzy, like being woken up from deep sleep. Had to wait ten minutes before driving home. Blood pressure was 117/67 @ 55 bpm when I started the session. He measured it before starting therapy.
I notice improvement in flexibility, and feel I'm heading towards upper back healing. There's more to healing than food. Feels good to give some focus to improving blood circulation with the help of massage. Part of creating good living.
