You are in the beginning of your journey and you are already in a severe calorie deficit?

What’s gonna happen when you hit your first plateau? You gonna eat 1000-1200 calories. And when you hit the second 700-1000 calories a day 🤔

1300-1500 is my range also. Coupled with the exercise, I think you are right on course. 1-2 pound per week is a safe rate of loss. Folks like us, with slower metabolisms than folks like Rosio, have to manage our diet pans a little differently than her. You are doing great! Stay the course!

To145 I do not have a fast metabolism. I use to lose .5-1 lb a week, that is not a fast metabolism.

I am around 220 pounds and am eating 1350-1400 calories which is 500 less that my resting needs. It has been averaging at a 1.3 pound loss per week for 40 weeks so I am not sure she is in a severe calorie deficit.

I have a lifelong journey with realistic expectations and not a need for starting and restarting diets due to them being extreme and unsatisfying

I was simply making her aware of the reality of decreasing calories to low...when you start low you will have to decrease to an even lower amount to hit goal.

Rosio19 my calorie range goal is a very healthy range for me. I do not know what you are talking about. I eat 3 meals and 3 snacks a day as it is. And believe me, its plenty. My goal is to eat healthy and enjoy my food. There are many options to try when reaching a plateau. Ot does not need to be only fewer calories. Many things can help a person over a plateau. I do not need to worry about that unless it actually happens. But honestly, I'm not sure where you are coming from. You sound very critical. My goal is healthy.

If you don’t know what I’m talking about, than obviously you have not done your research and you are embarking a journey with out a map. Hopefully know that I am mentioning this you do some research 😉

Really rosio19, I DO understand what you are saying. But having done my research over the years quite thoroughly, I disagree with you. I do not have an extreme calorie goal set. It is quite a reasonable goal for me and very do able. I am changing my unhealthy eating habits into healthy ones and not making any radical changes. That's why I said that I do not know where you are coming from. Everybody has different health and wellness needs, and what works for one may not be good for another. If you are just concerned about me, I appreciate it. But telling someone they are wrong without really knowing any background (such as my doctor knowing about my goals) is not being supportive.
Please understand that if you reach a plateau, you do not need to cut your calories more. You can increase your exercise or alter the types of foods you eat. Anyway, thank you for your concern. I wish you well on your journey.
