Yesterday I had such a wonderful evening! Had (German) dinner by friends, and after that one of them played saxophone. It has been great! It brought back good memories of when I used to live in Bologna and went to live jazz concerts quite often. I did not sleep as much as I needed, but it was worth it. I am journaling from work today, trying to apply for jobs. In a way, I feel like I am not qualified for many jobs but overqualified for many other ones. Let's see how it goes. I am having way more coffee than my body can handle today, I hope I'll survive the working day and the swimming session of this late afternoon. Swimming 1.3km is my lowest aim, my highest is 1.5km for today. Yesterday I went shortly to the small supermarket close home, to buy some breakfast items for this morning. I have to admit, it's not my favourite supermarket... I was struggling to find something I would have really eaten. The funny thing is that when I was on the low carb diet, my grocery shopping list was always the same and quite boring and it took me no time to buy the usual items. Now that I am allowed to eat everything again, I spend a long time reading all the ingredients lists and complain about sugar content, preservatives and all the chemical stuff in the food. So that I am always looking for the healthiest option for the item I am planning to buy. This attitude is so different compared to what I used to do as soon as I moved to Germany. So many food items were new to me, so every time I was grubbing a bunch of items from the shelves just to ttry their taste, without thinking about health.
I am happy about my life and myself, and that's my gratitude list of today.
