Wednesday? morning. Is it Wednesday? Anyway...

Last weekend class went well, got excellent marks. Went through a massage done by a fellow student who totally sucks at massage, I felt like just get up and leave lol! This guy has a terrible touch. We mark each other at the end of the massage, and I felt bad to give him a bad mark but honestly I couldn't lie, it was too bad.

I realized that I now need to set up my business paperwork, process that I should start now. I will be working as independant contractor. It's an adventure, I don't have any clue of where to start but I'm sure my best friend Google will help me!

Yesterday I went to see my boss. Told him I was leaving. He was definitely not happy about it. He admitted he doesn't have many people as qualified and available as me, and I assured him I would take time for the transition, I was not just leaving the next day. He asked me to make a plan, an offer with what I would be ready to do and keep a position in the company. Not sure if I want to do that...

Food is under control, I think now I told my boss part of me is relieved and some stress-related eating won't happen anymore. Things are falling into place, of course I have many questions and doubts, but overall the stress I'm experiencing is more excitement than anxiety. Only 3 more weeks before the finals, after that I will have some time to get back to working out. back to my old self!

have a fantastic day buddies!

You were right to be honest about the bad massage. How else will he learn to be better if he doesn't know he is doing something wrong? Why do employers wait until you tell them you are leaving to say how good you are at your job and offer you perks that you wouldn't have been told about or offered had you stayed? So frustrating. You have been doing a great job getting through all the stressful tasks that you needed to take care of to get you to this point - it's nice to see you are feeling the benefits of your effort :)

I am proud of you Anne for sticking to your guns and for taking the steps although hard to move on to your plan. Think hard before making any promises out of guilt that you won't be happy keeping. I also give you lots of credit for your honesty with the other student. I know that must have been really tough.

Good luck with setting up your business! I'm considering setting up a business for my hubby (he is a carpenter), and there are some cheap/free classes about it - paperwork, taxes, contracts preparation, marketing, etc. I highly recommend going to one of those. It's also a great way to network and find people who are in a similar boat.

Well it might be helpful to keep the old boss in your pocket. Make him a crazy offer financially and see if he bites! Your expertise could be financupially rewarding as you build your new business.
