Had good speed on my bike ride this morning. 26 minutes with a high anaerobic heart rate. Thinking this may be due to having had a Sunday Dessert yesterday. Anaerobic means burning sugars in the muscles. I probably had some more sugars to burn. Interesting. Will keep that in mind when the body fat burning project is done.

for me..i try to ride between 125-144 bpm...to stay in recovery mode...less eneegy used..but you recover faster

Anaerobic means “without oxygen.”

Agreed, the sugar is pure glycogen fuel stored around the muscles and saved in the liver for up to 24 hours for quickly available glycogen. My longest and easiest rides are after a day off, when I carbo loaded.
