Well, it's day 4 and I'm still on the wagon. Sadly, that's saying a lot for me these days. I've also decided to make my journal public. Can't imagine why anyone would want to read it, but perhaps if I feel like others are keeping tabs I'll be more inclined to stay on the wagon. As I said yesterday, I'll be headed to Jamaica in 4 months so I'm trying to use it as an interim goal. It's a double-edged sword I guess. On one hand, it's too close - I can't possibly meet my final goal. I'll be happy to have made progress, but even with consistent reasonable weight loss, I won't be happy with me in a bathing suit. On the other hand, it's close enough to be a concrete target, rather than some event far in the future, so I'm less likely to put off dieting until the tomorrow that never arrives.
