If I track my calories, at least I know what I'm doing (even if I don't make change immediately). From what I noticed, each time I've tracked caloric intake, I've made change organically due to awareness of how much I'm actually eating. I've somehow gained 17lbs since mid August, which was concerning for me. I'd really like to turn things around...
