I take joy in small victories! As I was walking out of work today, a colleague grabbed me to go to a reception in the lobby. When I got there and surveyed the food table, I decided nothing was worth the calories and headed home to a lovely, healthy meal! Victory! And my husband prepared it. Double victory!

Speaking of my husband ... we've been trying to be more mindful of portion sizes. It's been awhile since we've done that, so we have started measuring our dinner servings. He called me at work today to tell me he had a surprise for me. When I got home, he proudly showed me the new fancy food scale he bought for us. Bless his heart!
