My neck is "out" meaning the discs are compressing on my (last) nerve. It has not been this bad in almost a year. I am so worried I won't be able to exercise (situps and pushups and running especially oh crap and weights!!!). I do not want to slip backwards, lose my good habits. I could just cry if I wasn't so busy being a total b*tch. Of course the anger creates more tension which creates more spasm which creates more anger.

I give it till the end of the week and then off to the doctor for the usual round of PT (which helps).

Just had to write it down so I can start to make a plan and find a way NOT to give up...

I know you will not give up and you'll find a way to compensate for this set back. We all have set backs, they may be injuries, sickness or even vacations. When I had shoulder surgery my doctor had me do isometric exercies until I could get back to a regular routine. Hope you feel better today! Thanks for all of the encouragement you have given me!

I'm pretty sure being a "total b*tch" burns more calories! I hope your neck feels better REAL soon. You are an exercise MASTER, so I'm sure you'll find alternatives that you can do in the meantime.

you are going to need to make sure you take care of your neck and disc injury. You can probably find some things to do (I know you will think of something). Do you know what is causing your disc to compress or slip out? my hubby had terrible pain in his leg which we found out was due to a 'slightly' herniated disc in his back. he got injections to shrink it and has been fine since. I think they are making amazing discoveries and are more able to find the cause of some of these things. Maybe your doctor could set you up to find out what is causing this to happen. Hang in there, we know the scales lie to us!
