Hi, I am new to this app, and just want to say hello to everyone!
I am 48 years old, live in Wales, and have been overweight for most of my adult life. Potted history... by the time I was 20 I was over 250 pounds and went up and down between that and 225 for years. Then, once, when I was in my early 30s I lost 90 pounds in around 8 months, my most successful weight loss (which I regained), and 11 years ago I lost 42 pounds for my second wedding. They were the only serious attempts I ever made in my life, to be honest.
I am a combination of a creature of habit (which I plan to use to my advantage) and a sugar addict. I also seem to have no 'stop' sign - I can't eat 1 or 2 cookies or chocolates... I have to keep stuffing!
Now, I am set on my third attempt and want this one to be the best! Especially since I'm 48 and health is a massive concern. Back then there were no apps, trackers, forums and social media to help, which is where you guys come in!
I think that this time I will be able to see clearly when I am 'drifting' away from my plan. Both times before, I cant recall actually stopping my plan at any point, just allowing bad habits to creep back.
So, here I am, and I can't wait to get involved and get to know some of you!
I really hope to get to know some of you here and I think with the right support I can do this
