Hey all. Need some suggestions. In a couple of weeks I get to be a lucky girl and have my gums grafted...Oh yea, be jealous. Anyways, the periodontist told me most likely chewing is going to be a bit tough for maybe a week. I don't want this to be at all an excuse to fall of my diet...especially with the challenge, can't let my teammates down! So, if anyone knows of some good low-carb soups, or soft-non chew type snacks...anything soft really, please share! I can see myself getting REALLY sick of egg salad...and all the soups in my cabinet are pretty high carb so I'm guessing making my own would be better anyways. Anything to keep me away from...oh....ice cream, pudding, jello...all that really nutritious stuff that you love to eat after dental work.

Thanks all!

tuna salad, chicken salad, protein shakes and more protein shakes. EAS makes some good low-carb ones, as does Atkins and Slim Fast. Look for different flavors as you'll tire of just one. Make blended vegetable and either beef or chicken soups. Blend any low-carb homemade soup and you can eat it. Good luck girl! That doesn't sound fun. You can have low-carb jello and you can make s/f pudding with 1/2 cream 1/2 water instead of milk. Good luck!
