My body is poking me with pain all over! It started with pulling my left groin, then right knee pain and swelling, then lower back pain (big time), and today sciatica pain. Perhaps I’ve pushed too hard while jogging, and/or floor exercises are straining my lower back (planks, reverse crunches and leg lifts). I didn’t jog yesterday and likely won’t today, but still maintaining 8000 steps per day. *Also I need to log that I quit smoking on 4/8, so today is day #16. I still struggle with urges, but patches are holding me steady. Restaurants and bars are still closed due to COVID-19, so I don’t have alcohol tempting me to smoke or overeat.

Jogging is so hard on the body...I bet you could speed walk and still burn calories

Congratulations, you're doing great!

Jogging/running causes my knee to swell also, but I found a steep hill to scramble up and that really gets the heart rate raised. I miss running so much.

try just walking an not high impact running or jog on a mini trampoline as it decreases the stress on knees. I have a gazelle that is no impact as knee and ankle issues. Also water-- for me my gym with the pool is closed @ the moment.

Good job! And hang in there with the smoking. If you quit now you will help yourself and those around you. My mother and my grandmother both smoked. My mom stopped smoking when I was 8 and my grandma passed when I was 9 years old. She was only 53. I have never smoked in my life but, sadly, acquired COPD from their secondhand smoking. I wish you success! :)

Best of luck with the quitting smoking. Keep up the good work of weight loss. You might want to try collagen for your muscles and tendons. While I do not work out, it has helped mine that have been strained from other things. It takes about a month to really notice the difference.

You're doing awesome! If you're not, add stretching before and after working out and lots of water 😊 also briskly walking or biking can help.
