I'm officially blown away. I've always dealt with high bp and obesity (well 90% of my life).
I was always the fat kid at school that got picked last (only because they HAD to pick me), and made excuses to get out of gym. I hated activity of any sort unless it got me what I wanted.
Well... last July I went for a Physical.
I was 244 lbs, my BP was 170/90, HR was 120bpm resting, My hair was falling out, I was literally exhausted to the point of falling asleep at my desk at work, I was sick all the time.
My doctor gave me heck, referred me to a dietician, ordered me to quit smoking (made me sign a waiver that I would quit) and demanded I returned to the gym - finding time to go.
Exactly one year later My BP is now 110/58, restign HR is now 68. I've been told I now have the heart of an athlete! Holy dinah! I never dreamed of the possibility I would be labelled as an Athlete!
Now my body just needs to catch up :)
