Now that the 20 CARB CHALLENGE is over, I wanted to thank all the SAPPHIRES who finished this challenge with me. And thank you to the RUBIES, as well. I had a blast being the team leader with so many motivated, funny and active people. GO RUBIPHIRES!!

I especially want to thank Sara for instigating the challenge. It was really what I needed. After a summer of not doing real great, it was good to get motivated again with so many like minded people. I think this challenge really refocused a bunch of us - especially those of us in the Atkins group. It was fun to see so many of us participating and getting into the mini-challenges. I know we lulled on the 3rd week - but because we had so much support, we all got over it and came back strong at end the challenge. This challenge really was a gift.

So now we are into the October Challenge. And I'm participating in the Common Sense Challenge, as well. I found my bravo in the challenge forum and intend to use the momentum I have going to KEEP GOING.

Boy, this is beginning to sound like an acceptance speech. Only longer. :) Enough.

The last few days I've been battling my first cold of the season. It has really been hard for me to be active...and all at the beginning of the Common Sense Challenge. Today is a little better. I'm actually looking forward to exercise.

DAY TWO OF NO CAFFEINE. So far, no temptation. I'm a little in shock - I thought it would bother me a lot more. Drinking herbal tea in the morning. I really like something hot in the morning and this seems to be hitting the spot. It also helps my cold symptoms!

FOOD JOURNAL (I'm frustrated using the one on here because I ate so many homemade items today!!)

BREAKFAST
2 eggs with hot sauce = 2C
4 slices of bacon = 0C

LUNCH
leftover spaghetti squash casserole = 6C
1 taco with low carb tortilla = 5C

DINNER
Salad with tuna = 6C

SNACK
1 serving macadamia nuts = 1C
1 crystal light beverage - 1C

TOTAL = 21

I feel a cold coming on too. :( WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO GET SICK, PAIGE! We're on a roll and we MUST keep it going! Hang in there and do as much as you can. Kudos on giving up the coffee. Don't know how you did it! That's one thing I just won't give up. Have a great day! :D

Thanks for being an awesome team captain for the 20g NC Challenge. I so much appreciated your help. We all needed a re-direct after slacking off this summer and it was great to have the support of everyone else re-committing to the plan. It was truly inspiring for me as well. I hope the coffee thing works out for you. I'm just cutting back for now. I wish you great success in the October Challenge! :) Thanks for being my friend! You're awesome!

I'm so excited you are on my team. You're fun and inspirational! Good luck with the coffee thing. I've never had that addiction but I've seen the effects and i bet it's tough to change that up! Good luck with October and I can't wait to see how many inches we all lose!
