Saturday morning and my dogs woke me way too early....there WILL be revenge.

Well, my parents are visiting my sister in Hawaii and I'm jealous. My sister has lived there for over 4 years and I've never been...I just never have the cash for those dang tickets. Anyways...tommorrow is the Ironman and I'm encouraging them to go check it out. My periodonist that recently did my gum grafting is running it and he's just one of those guys with a lot of charisma that draw you in.

I on the otherhand will be doing housework and looking for the first snow of the season.

Diet wise I think I'm back on track. The weight isn't falling off but I've stopped the bleeding at least....I've cut way way back on my beer. Have no intention of giving it up but it's crunch time to Cabo and I'd like to lose another 10 lbs by then...hopefully letting up on the beer will help. I know when I'm there I'll be drinking Corona's and Pacificos and eating chips with this amazing salsa we found at this little local store....so, it should be kinda funny to see how much I gain that week. I figure the rest of the stuff I'll be a good girl with but other than a dip in the pool and walking downtown we plan on REALLY strenuous stuff like laying by the pool and reading a book....while drinking Corona's ...ohhh...and Miami Vice's those are awesome. Anyways, you can tell my exercise plan will be quite intense. <<snicker>> Can anyone tell that I'm ready for Nov 19th to finally get here??

On other stuff...just found out this week that my man is going to be a grandpa for the first time! I figure I can write it here because none of his family are on here. It's not widely known yet. Anyways, we are really excited. His daughter married one heck of a great guy just over a year ago and really wants kids....what a concept these days, ey? I'm totally excited and thinking about finding a cross stitch project or something to do. I've never actually completed one but i have nine months ...well, more like 8 so I think I could do it....maybe. I'm not very crafty...so if anyone has ideas of something personal I could make that'd be great. I don't have much skill but I don't want something already done and ready for me to sign either, ya know?

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm going to go plot my revenge on the fur kids and get something done. :-)

awh, congrats on the new addition coming! I'm not crafty either... I actually SUCK at it! My sis in law can make anything and yet, I'm left with very little craftiness, lol. You'll come up with something beautiful, I'm sure of it! Glad you're feeling back on track these days! Good luck dropping those lbs!!

Thanks for commenting on my journal and I'm glad I'm motivating someone with my NON-loss, lol. We've got a lot in common as I've never been able to give up the "hooch" while dieting. My sister's father in law's word for alchohol. I'm going on a cruise in 2 weeks! Anyway, have a great time in Cabo and you've got to find way to save money for that trip to Hawaii, at least you'd have a place to stay!

Hey Lorik, I'm the same as you! My sister got all the creativeness and I just got stuck with the brains, ha ha.

Thanks! My family keeps teasing me that if my boyfriend and I were to get married I'd be a grandma at 35. Considering me having children has never EVER been anything I wanted they are loving the thought of me having a psuedo step grandkid. They are easy people to entertain. heh. I suck at the crafts too. The only thing I've ever been sorta able to do is the cross stitch but I get bored and never finish them...or i'll count wrong and get so mad that I toss the whole thing. I tend to show a lot of immaturity when I try artsy stuff.

LOL, glad to hear that being non crafty hasn't just singled me out, I was feeling a little "stupid" there for a minute, he he he

One thing I have seen done for baby showers that might work. Get a baby blanket with nice trim on it but no design, just white in the center. Have people important to the baby sign it with a washable marker. Then needle point over the signatures in different colors. It's very personal very easy and has a lot of meaning! After you are done stitching over the signatures you can pop it in the washer on gentle (by itself I would advise against washing other things with it this first time) and then hang dry.

My pup woke me up early too - she came and bumped her nose into mine which signaled she had to go outside NOW! Those furry friends are just too funny. You must be so excited for your trip - sounds like an absolutely relaxing time! And remember, there really aren't any calories in that salsa!!!! (Shhhh, we just won't mention the chips and beer.) Congrats on the grandbaby!

You're looking for snow already? Where are you located? Congrats on the new addition coming to your family. How exciting! I'm TERRIBLE at crafts too. Just not talented in that area. Add me to the No-Craft-Talent club! LOL. Kudos for getting back on track. Hang in there! :)

Thanks for the congrats and all! It's so nice to see a couple actually want and try for a baby and get one...it always seems to be the other way around...or maybe I'm just jaded because my mom worked in social services so I know how many unwanted kids are out there. mbhpro...I live in Denver...well, one town over. Right now the skys are white and there is mist but no snow yet...they are thinking tonight maybe...nothing that'll really stick but it's still snow!
