I have been unemployed since March due to COVID. For the last 25 years I’ve worked for the same travel agency and owner. When they laid the staff off, they expected us to be rehired in a few months, but today they told us the agency couldn’t survive this and was shutting its doors. I’ve been a travel agent almost all of my adult life. I loved my co workers and my clients. It sucks to have to find something different now that I’m 50 and old. And job prospects in this town are poor. I’m so glad I’ve lost all this weight but I don’t if I can do a manual labor job in my shape. Bad day. Bad bad thing. Don’t know what else to say

So sorry you are having to go through this rough time. I'm sure it was a huge blow causing you to have high stress levels. Prayers sent that you find a job quickly and one that you will love.

Have you thought about a headhunter to find a new job. The job market has shifted for sure, but there may be online type, marketing, clerical work still out there. You'll need to redo your resume based on skillset. Think what your brought to the table not the industry.
Hope your hubs is mending well. How is 24/7 togetherness working? It's very different isn't it?

You may want to stay in touch with your old boss. They may have another thing in the works for the future, provide a letter of reference/referral, even introduce you to other opportunities. That bridge may not be lost forever.
