so i'm having a lot of trouble saying to to things like cookies and candy. even if i have strong willpower for a week, i just lose control after that. i would love some suggestions. this is really killing my weight loss plans because with my body, no amount of exercise can compensate for the crap i eat.

I have to not buy the stuff myself in order to not be tempted by it. I do have small amounts of chocolate such as a Hersey's kiss which is about 20 calories. Normally one or two of them will stop my craving for them, also one thing to do is chew gum it will help with the craving too or so I have heard.

Hi Rae...you aren't alone. If everyone had the necessary will power to lose weight, you wouldn't need a website like this. What works for one, might not work for another, but I'll tell you what helps me. I set up goals for myself and I treat myself (within reason) when I accomplish them. Don't lose sight of your objectives, i.e. fit in to your old clothes, feeling good about yourself, feeling attractive. Candy and Cookies are a very temporary form of self-gratification. Focus on long-term gratification...you feel me!?!?!
