Tonight I went to a women's Christmas party at my local church. There was cheese balls, meat balls, pork, crackers, lots of different cheesecakes, cookies, punch, coffee, and other desserts. They also had a salad bowl and a veggie tray, and grapes. Knowing of all the little temptations that are generally at this gathering, I took with me a home made fruit/water smoothie, and for a hot beverage, my teavana looseleaf tea-unsweetened. I ate some salad and veggies they had, and about a half of a cup of grapes. That smoothie I made was a life saver. After drinking it in lieu with everything else I ate, I felt satisfied and the temptations weren't that all appealing anymore. I do so love desserts, so my progress tonight was no small feat for me. I am feeling very happy about this.
