At the end of the day, at a calorie deficit, I find myself fighting the impulse to spend at least a few of those “bonus points.” I guess the fact that I’m at least thinking about it is probably a good sign.

What’s your preferred snack for tiding over a grumbly stomach at the end of the day?

I have this problem too. I usually am up late trying to get work done because I’m home with three littles during the day. I tend to get hungry at night (1 or 2 am really) so dissolve a half chicken bullion cube in a cup of water and trick my stomach into thinking I had soup. It usually works.

I plan pistachios into my day in case I want a snack. I like the ones in the shell, they take me a long time to eat, they're crunchy and satisfying to me.
