I learned a valuable lesson last night about eating out... just because you're eating at Subway, doesn't mean it's healthy. It's probably a better choice than Quiznos or the like, BUT, the pastrami sandwich. The one that is gorgeously displayed on the menu board with yummy pickles... it's very high in fat and calories. After I scarfed down one 6" sub, I looked it up to find that I wasn't going to get any dessert!

Hubby and I are doing great, staying on track, working together to jump back on the wagon & eat healthy together. It's amazing that limiting my portions & eating better foods just makes you feel better. Naturally, my hips swing a little more & I love the way my clothes fit. Actually - that's kinda lying. I haven't bought many new clothes since I've lost the first 35 pounds - most of my clothes are loose & baggy. I've bought a couple pairs of pants since my "skinny" pants are bunching up at the waistline now!

I'm really excited to say that I've officially gone from a 20 to size 16. There are still some 16 pants that fit tight, but I'm confident that in a few months, that won't be the case. Probably another 10 pounds and I'll be OUT of the plus size FOREVER. I was shopping around a bit earlier this week, I can bounce back and forth - fitting into an XL shirt or a 1X shirt. I'm trying to be realistic, mentally allowing myself to feel the accomplishment, but also knowing that I'm a few pounds from being back at the plus size section. I really want to put that section FAR FAR away!

You'll get there! There's no better feeling than finally fitting into a size 12 and realizing there's nothing at the plus size store that will fit anymore :) As for subway, that's a great point. I always see people from my gym at Subway so I know they're trying to lose weight. And then I see them ordering the foot long tuna sub NOOOOO!!! It's like the worst thing on the menu. Best bet: look it up first. You can save yourself a lot of calories that way :)

Good point- nowadays you can find alot of nutritional information online for most major restaurant chains. It is very shocking to see how many calories, fat grams, and sodium are in restaurant foods! When I go to Subway I stay away from cheese, mayo, pickles, olives, and other things in order to feel slightly healthy. I like how alot of restaurants, including Panera Bread, are putting the nutritional info right on the board too! It is definately helpful!
