Hey Prescious! I couldn't find you out here and finally figured how to find you. Sorry to hear about the fluid gain. My hubby has to watch sodium alot or his legs swelling up really bad. I just try to eat a balanced diet in my calorie limit that I calculated from FS recommendations. I try to choose healthier foods most days but don't cut put everything I love. What was new to me was tracking macros. I wasn't eating enough protein so I was hungry all the time and had sugar cravings. I bumped up my protein and that's helped tremendously but I don't eat more than 30%. It's a slow process and I had a few plateaus but I just stuck with it and I'm almost half way to my goal weight. Not sure which things you're struggling with or questions but I'm sure someone out here has the answers. Don't stop seeking! I think it's best to check with your doctor before doing anything like fasting or keto or any specific plan as there can be drawbacks and even health impacts for some.

Lose water wt first on keto. Sodium maybe? Following real keto diet? Not sure but something sounds off. Good luck🍀

To start keto carbs must be at 20. No bread, No rice, no potatoes, no pasta, can be difficult to start for some & difficult to maintain for others. I lost 20 lbs in 6 wks then 0 for over 2 mo. Had gained back 2 when started cico & intermittent fasting. Felt good to lose 20 lbs to start but maintaining wasn’t for me I guess. Gotta decide to really be keto or try something else. I started at 296, I’m 241. You can do this but getting into a groove that fits you is a must. Whatever you decide give a month before trying something else. It’s a job! Hard work! But it’s so gonna be worth it!!!!🍀

I agree with Sheila. I peeked at your diet calendar. A couple thoughts: first, track all your food/drinks. It can be helpful when trying to figure out what happened if there's a blip. 2nd, fruit and breads are not on keto, too high in carbs. Think meat, cheese, eggs and non-starchy veggies (no corn, peas, etc.). We're here if you want some help!

👏👍🌺 That you are asking for your help means you are honestly going to be self discipline it just takes time and patience. I’ve been losing weight with intermittent fasting and then when I do eat I can have what I want (to a certain extent). You can do it - just choose what you want to do and stick to it - that’s the hard part. We are here to cheer you on! Have a great Thursday! 😊

The water weight may fluctuate, but be patient. If you know you have been true to yourself, the scales will reflect it eventually. This morning iI dropped the water gain. Still it is a relief and encouraging to see the down trend! It will happen. Keep going and don't despair!

Thanks 🙏🏽 so much everyone I had a blood clot in my right lung in October and every since then I have been afraid to move because I had just finished a workout when I got hit with a pain that gave me excruciating pain when I tried to breathe I went to the hospital and found the blood clot. Today I have prayed and will get myself back in the workout room and stop with the fear because I know that’s the enemy’s plan to distract me from reaching my goal. My doctor did ask me to try intermittent fasting so I will do that without Keto and go back to my workouts to get circulation flowing. If anyone has a good meal plan that good. I can’t have anything with Vitamin K which is killing me I was losing so much weight eating spinach and leafy greens and collard greens and now because of blood thinners I can’t have them

Chin up... it is not about what you eat (once you leave keto) but how much you eat. I am sure there is plenty left on your can eat list. Good luck on the gym... If you are cleared for it try it out one step at the time

There are alot of healthy ways to lose weight. Personally for me, I followed high protein, low carb, lies fat. That being said, I also think CICO works as well. It depends if n what your level of activities are etc.

6-8 glasses water day. You can have a green veg once a week. Green beans steamed lower in vit k. Husband on Coumadin for life. Easy on salt. Meat & veggies that aren’t green. Eggs. Need protein. Try not to focus on what you can’t have & look for low cal/ carb foods you can have. 🍀

Not all blood thinners have dietary restrictions regarding vitamin K. Warfarin/Coumadin is an older medication and is one that has restrictiona. Newer drugs such as Eliquis and Pradaxa, for example, have no vitamin K restrictions. However, both are extremely expensive, may not be covered by your insurance, and/or may not fit your particular needs. You may want to check with your doctor to see if you have other viable options that will give you more food choices. Good luck and stay well.

Hi Family! I spoke with my doctor and it looks like the swelling may be due to lymphedemia she’s placed me on lasix a few days until the excess toxins are released! I have also been sipping in lemon water throughout the entire day and already there is 4lbs of water off! My body was feeling so tight! I have not had this feeling since I had toxemia with my first born who passed away because of the toxins in my body that was 25 years ago I almost lost my life too. This happened again with my second baby and they put careful eyes on me. I have an appointment on dec 15 to discuss what May have been going on with me that causing this retention of toxins and and water! Pray for me not giving up! I will beat all of this is Jesus name!

Precious, I'm so sorry to hear about losing your baby and that you're having these health concerns! I will continue to pray for your healing! It helps to keep an eye on the sodium in your foods but you probably know that. My hubby has problems with that and is on Lasix too. It can be challenging to figure out what he can eat but I think it helps to spread out the sodium throughout the day as opposed to consuming a large amount in one meal. I also kind of think you gotta trick the body every now and then by eating just a little more sodium once in awhile if you find your especially resistant to releasing it, but not a huge amount. Just enough to keep your body from hanging on because it's trying to self regulate. That's just been his experience but he has some additional problems with his anti diuretic hormone that the pituitary regulates. I wish you the best!!! You have an extra challenge but you can do it!!! We're here for you!
