I feel like I have more energy this weekend and my wedding rings are looser. I can tell I'm loosing a little weight. The weekends are harder though right now anyway since it's only my second actual week of really following my selected diet. During the week as a teacher I am very busy and have my set times to eat lunch or have my snack. The weekends I don't have to follow a schedule and the kitchen is just over there. Soooooooo I'm trying to keep myself busy. I've been cleaning off shelves reorganizing drawers and just cleaning the house. I'm going to try atleast 20 minutes before dinner the You : On a Diet suggestion of eating 1/2 oz. of walnuts OR 1 cup of soup OR at least 8 oz of water and 1 Tablespoon of psyllium to fillll ' ER UP!!! MY husband has been so sweet. We use to drink wine for dinner and after dinner now we aren't drinking any wine......so we're saving the cost of 2 bottles of wine X 7 hummmmmm what a savings!! And I stopped putting cream (Carnation Hazelnut $4.55 per bottle) in my coffee. So I'm not only going to loose weight but save money doing it. I also got out my exercise machine and dusted it off this week. I have a health rider machine and I've started using that again. When I get down to 180 I want to start riding my bicycle again. In June 2006 I rode 585 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles with my daughter and 2,000 others on our bicycles. We rode average 90 miles a day and it took 7 days. I put on a little weight since then.I use to do a quick 25 miles on my bike after work. So now that's one of my goals again... to ride 25 miles after work 2 or 3 times a week. I would love some ideas on how to stay clear of the kitchen when I'm home on the weekends. The weekends are also when my husband and I would eat big breakfasts with bacon or sausage, french toast with syrup mmmmmmm, I guess I should do what I do during the week. I put together my food for the day the night before and that's that. No snacking.
I'm so thankful for this web site. For the first time I feel like I'm understood and when I get comments from others who have been through the same thing or are going through the same thing I can take a deep breath and know I'm not alone. Thank you!
