Trying to get on track. I was doing really well since beginning of December. I've been running on Mon, Wed and Fri. Working towards a 5k so the whole 30 mins is a combo of walking and running in the am before work. On Tues, Thurs, and Sat I do an elliptical for 30 mins. Then I do Zumba on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and yoga on Mondays and Thursdays after work. Sadly the stomach bug and now head cold have plagued me.

I haven't officially weighed in, just used what then dr office said in October . This past year has been rough with catching a nasty disease and having my gallbladder removed. People kept telling me the pounds would slide off after my surgery, not so fortunate. The office I woke in is very healthy. I'm the biggest person there and feel uncomfortable all the time. No one has made me feel that way but they are always hiking and running together. I feel too embarrassed to join. But I am changing that. I am disheartened to be sick as I feel like I'm falling behind. I haven't worked out since Wednesday but I don't want to prolong being sick.

I forgot how much I love this site and am happy to have found my way back.

Sounds to me like you're already on your way. I personally have found that there's quite a difference between so-called "eating right" and eating what's right for me. There's plenty of options available to us all with regard to the foods we eat. Make what you eat and what you like meet in the middle and suddenly the whole concept of "dieting" simply becomes eating your way. Enjoy what you eat, when you eat, and everything else has a way of falling into place. At least that my experience.

It's funny but I've just started to learn that. I don't want something that I have to suffer everyday for a year then find some kind of balance afterwards. Eating healthy and clean are my big focuses. Thanks for insight, it's always helpful to hear what works vs the newest fad.

Way to go poof I was the same way, I lost my way and ignored the site, well I am back with a new found attitude and a kick in my step. I am not going to stop until I am at goal. Totally agree with Axevus....is so right, you see all these different diets and there is only one way for each one of us to eat, it really depends on the individual......Keep up the great work Poof.....
