TaniaKiseleva's Journal, 15 Feb 21

When I weighted myself today it was 94 kg. Two days ago I was 91,7. Got very upset. I did not go over calorie limit of 1100 and also did a lot of exercise. So I googled sudden weight gain and turns out it is normal for our weight to fluctuate up to 4 kg.
It is crazy how my mood changed just because I ‘gained’ two kg. Not sure if it is supposed to be like that. Instantly thought that maybe I should not eat today at all. So tomorrow morning when I weight myself I will be lighter. Obviously not gonna do it, only leads to binging.
Very happy with my thought pattern now. I still have unhealthy thoughts about starving myself to lose weight. But I do not act on them

Well done for recognising the thought pattern and the potential unhealthy choice that could have been made. Love the motivation 💪🏾

don't forget that maybe your body made some muscle and they weighted more than the fat so don't give up

Tania I think it is important that you don't take weight changes over a period of a day or a week to seriously, long term loses is what counts.

Sounds like you had a good week. Keep it up! Try and stick to weighing at the same time each day (1st thing in the morning) once a week!

Hi Tania, I had the exact same thing this weekend. I weigh myself every day and on Saturday and then again on Sunday I put on an extra kilo each time! It’s really odd because the last couple of weeks I’ve been on a bit of a plateau. One of the kilos has miraculously ‘disappeared’ today and we will see what happens tomorrow. You’re right that it’s easy to feel defeated by these random swings, but it’s a long game. Bodies, eh?!

Totally understand the frustration! Especially before the period time, it just go up suddenly. I weighed everyday and I can see my weight going up & down due to the food I ate. May try to drink more water, I am measuring my carbs intake during weekdays, which helped me losing my weight more significantly. Good luck

Stop weighing yourself daily, you'll go mad. Once a week is plenty, you'll get a more accurate result.

Be "kind" to yourself as you have still lost about 7kg. As recommended by another poster it's probably better to just weigh yourself once a week. If you keep with the program (probably 1100 is a little too challenging, maybe sub-1400 - or 1100 plus 300 of your favs) and seek out a new "focus/interest" that you enjoy!? You obviously keep a food dairy so well done on the documentation....

is a woman meant to have over 2000 calories a day? and will I loose weight if I have that much? sorry I couldn't post i dont know how to so had to message on your comment hope someone can explain ? xx

2000 calories a day is the recommended calorie intake so id say unless you were pretty active, you wouldn’t go in to a major calorie deficit which is what you need to lose weight. 2000 would be to maintain weight. but as i said before if you did enough exercise to burn, say, 2500 calories, you would be able to lose weight at a steady pace

Hey Tania I had exactly the same. I put over 2kg a week before my period so I was so upset with myself. Then weighted myself a few days after my period finished and all of a sudden I was 4kg lighter 🤦🏻‍♀️ so like some people say don’t worry about weighing yourself daily. Also if you look on Amazon then sell some pretty good and cheap scales that also count a body fat and everything else that can cause your weight to go up and down. You are doing and amazing job babe ❤️
