So it begins...
I went to the doctor on Jan 6th and I finally agreed that he was right. I am dying. I was letting diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol ruin my life. My sugars are out of control, I am lethargic and unmotivated.
However, I am an addict. I am addicted to eating. It is deemed acceptable by soceity as we are all on the upsizing phenomenon, and it is destroying a lot of us. I finally decided to fight back. I am starting off with a proper food intake. No fancy dieting, just proper intake. I am going to have great days and I will have binge days. I realize that I owe it to myself and my loved ones to get healthy. It isn't going to be easy all the time, however, I am blessed to know someone on here who really has my back. Tough times show who is with you and who is not.
Today is good. I am eating proper portions (bigger at breakfast, because my doc says it will jump-start my metabolism) I am also going to do my best to avoid processed foods. I am having porkchops and salad for dinner.
