Densible's Journal, 09 Mar 09

Weekend was beautiful here but lonely. Spousal Unit is out of town as are my two friends. I was very busy though-worked on Saturday, got exercise in both Sat and Sun-for me to exercise on Sat. with work is a very good thing indeed. Spent yesterday outside gardening. We do not have any land-our back yard is concrete and a pool BUT I used the flower bed on the side of the house to plant herbs: cilantro, mint (-for Mojitos in the summer and tabouli), parsley, basil, thyme, rosemary, 3 kinds of tomato and serano peppers (SU will eat them right off the bush). Hoping I can keep everything alive. I become very attached to living things and am very nervous!
I mowed the front patch with push mower-gosh I am feeling it in my pecs this morning!, weeding the flower beds and planted renunculi in the bald spots. It looks so pretty and tidy. Today, in between doing my job, I am cleaning the house. It's filthy.
Eating was okay-still doing the 1300 cals per day (maybe not for a few more days as it's not working!)-main issue is sweets while SU is away. I have desert ever day. Last night was healthiest though-mixed berries (black, blue, rasp berries and strawberries topped with some oatmeal, bran , brown sugar and a little butter (like a crumble without flour) and baked. I found an old tin of custard though and ate about half of it poured on top of the crumble! It tasted great but I was filled with anxiety and guilt with every mouthful.
I am very tired as cannot sleep-the beast is good company though. I have him on one side of the bed and the cat on the other side, Like a Densible sandwich!

I love the time change-yesterday it was still light at 7.15! Today I am going to take Beast out afterwork as got up too late to get out before work started.

Well that's my stream of consciousness. Had to write it down.

Sounds like you've stayed busy while SU is away... I'm sure that's helped keep you away from too many goodies! Your oatmeal sounds yummy. If you're going to choose to eat something good, try not to feel guilty! Just do it, and work it off! We deserve some enjoyment in our lives! LOL about the Densible sandwich.

mojitos makes sense, your gardening does not. to me anyway. i dont do that. lol oh, the radio clock at the hotel freaked me out because it programed itself to go ahead an hour... i was still adding an hour... it sucked for me! lol

I can't wait to get my herb garden planted. Some of the parseley and rosemary made it through the winter, but I have to get seedlings of all the rest. Have fun and don't stress, it will all grow as long as you keep them watered. :)
