Finding it really hard to start dieting again. I am an emotional eater, so everytime something tough comes up. I end up eating carbs, just to cope. Does anyone else experience this, and how do you deal with it?

I have found becoming aware of it helps and I still have some go to treats (for me sugar free peppermint sweets) and sugar free hot chocolate. I also am trying to process my feelings in a journal more and I find music, prayer and exercise every day are also helping me. Eating keto/sugar free also helps to break the addiction because I am not having the physical cravings anymore then it’s only the mental stuff to deal with 😜

I also think the reason I eat carbs is to release endorphines, so I definately think the hot chocolate with fake sugar will help release some endorphines. I think prayer and maybe even fasting will help ease the cravings. I need to learn how to deal and cope with difficult situations without food courage.

I like the gracious bakers one because it’s not overly fake sweet. And I fast just once a week for 24 hours because it gives me a day to pray and think and have a day that isn’t just about food.

maybe you need to rethink how you view diet? if it does not exist you. spend some time finding a meal plan that will work better for you? I'd suggest you listen to losing weight without losing your mind on youtube. it's helped me find a more natural view of losing weight. i. losing very slowly but i have no cravings and I'm not hungry. it took me a long time to find something that works for me. so keep searching until you find something that you can do more enthusiastically. both. carbs are not bad. just refined carbs. if you stock up on veggies with your carbs you will still lose weight.
