Excuse my question but isn't under 1000 cal too little?

I found that for me 1000 cal is just enough to not feel energy deprived. I'm doing it for 5 weeks already and feel fine. My lifts are progressing, which would indicate that I'm not losing much muscle, but rather fat. I try to make those calories count and eat mainly highly nutricious stuff. I supplement with vitamins and minerals. My body still has a lot of fat to utilize for energy, I wouldn't recommend such a low calorie intake to someone who is thin. But for me no worries

Oh ok I was bit worried especially you being tall seemed a bit too little 😕As long as you're not starving yourself all good 😊

Wombat cakani I was on 1000 calorie for more than 2 months . Totally agree with you. I increased to 1200 because I wanted to eat more protein 🤣

Wow! That is discipline. Well done on your loss so far.

pcrav1992 that's my plan too. When I drop my BMI to the non-overweight range, or if my workouts start to suffer, I will slowly increase my calories. I'm doing this by feel, and trying not to be obsessive about it. The results so far and the community here keep me motivated :)

A 1000 cal was the best I did! I loved it. It’s challenging to think about to eat to keep within your macros and calories 😊 I hope you get same results or even better !!

I'm on roughly 1.000 kcal for a couple of months now. Dropped weight from 137 to 87 kg so far. Works great for me, even with my workout - can see my strength increasing. In my opinion the key that makes this work is to have sufficient nutrition with Protein - for me that's at least 100 Gramm per day.

Kjz finally someone who understands me !!! You have to do it properly. And I agree with you, I have been exercising sometimes 6/7 days a week (strength training). I never felt weak. I did diets with way more calories and felt miserable and kept having cravings.

@pcrav1992: Same here - I haven't been hungry since I started to watch my protein intake carefully.

When you start a journey like this you have to make sure you read about it but also make sure you know your body and your limits. I never thought a diet would be this fun. 💁‍♀️
