It all depends on genetics. And your age. You will most likely have loose skin where you have carried the most fat and weight. But it can be reduced by gaining muscle to fill up those places where you lost fat. Don’t be afraid of loose skin. It’s better than being unhealthy and overweight. You will be happy that you can move better, breath better and your improved mental health. I have heard good things about derma needling/ rolling. I use collagen bone broth instead of stock cubes for cooking. but I've only started doing it recently. fortunately the loose skin hasn't been a problem for me yet because I very purposefully opted to take loose the weight over a period of years, aiming for about 10kg a year. this slow slow loss was based on reading that I had done to prevent loose skin because it provides the much needed time for the body to adapt. I understand we all have different timelines. but the quicker and more drastic the loss the bigger the likelihood of the skin issue. I dont have the financial resources for cosmetic surgery and I knew I was making this change to be a permanent and new way of life.. not as a quick solution (that's never worked out well for me in the past) so over 3 years I lost about 24ish kgs and I don't have loose skin. in fact my skin is healthier than it's ever been. but I opted for slow which isn't everyone's vibe. my husband on the other hand does have some loose skin from dropping about 18kg last year when he started running. it's not too bad, but it's there. so that is one of the reason for adding collagen in my cooking (because drinking it straight up is just awful)

just want to mention as well that muscle doesn't necessarily fill up where there is lose skin. my nephew is a body builder with less than 10% body fat. and he has bad loose skin around the lower belly beneath a scar line from a childhood surgery. skin is skin and when stretched too far, very little can be done to resolve it other than surgery. it can also be absolutely necessary. my sister did weight loss surgery and dropped 50kg in under 6 months. the skin surgery was essential for her because it can be really uncomfortable especially ito water retention and body inflammation. it can also be really painful for those who carry a lot of skin. every body type is different...

I had liposuction in February and I have been drinking collagen for about a year, my surgeon said it’s one of the best supplements for skin elasticity and health. I was drinking it for gut health and glowing skin. I recommend the flavourless granules as they dissolve quickly into tea/coffee. Harvest table brand is good and the jar lasts forever

Muscle will definitely not fill in the loose skin in the belly area 😂 but it does help with arms and legs. Unfortunately not so much in tricep area. Even the butt area can have loose skin. If you build muscle there, it should help. But some just opt for a 360 skin removal. I’ve seen a few results on YouTube. Woman doing derma needling on their belly and over a 6 month period has reduced the loose skin significantly. Most of it due to carrying twin pregnancies or large babies. When I lost 80lbs in my teens. I had no loose skin. And lost my weight over a 7 month period. But I was very active. Trained twice a day 5-7 days a week. I’m almost 40 and have loose skin after 6 pregnancies. And have a little bit loose skin on my arms and legs. That’s due to my PCOS. It causes you to lose muscle because of insulin resistance. It all comes down to your age, health and if you have gained the weight rapidly. Like pregnancy or an autoimmune disease. Some just have genetics on their side. I would take the loose skin any day. I’ve been taking collagen peptide on and off. For years. It helps the skin elasticity but some areas if stretched very quickly doesn’t have much of a chance to bounce back. When suddenly delivering a baby or losing the weight too quickly.
