I have PCOD and thyroid still lost 10kgs in 2.5 months. All you need is dedication towards a healthy lifestyle (being active+eating healthy) that's it.

I had pcos and I didn't consulted the doctor and cured it myself and also lost significant weight. The problems that is making ur cycle irregular should be concentrated upon. I mean in my case my schedule was making my cycle irregular . Thier could be many reasons causing u pcod if u will u must keep ur eye upon your schedule . If pcod will cure then u can loose weight easily. btw my advice to you is not to go on crash diets and being patient can help u loose weight easily . I can feel u and I can help u too I guess.

hello Aarohi..I can understand your problem with weight loss.even I am suffering from pcos for last 4 years and overweight..I started exercise 2 weeks ago and successfully reduced 3 kg... weight loss is very difficult for pcos patient ..so here are few very important things which u need to focus on
1. Avoid packaged or processed food .Always try to cook fresh meal. Ghar ka Khana is best.. add ghee in your food ..you can have rice, dal, roti( ragi roti is best), sabji.
2. Cut your dairy..have plant based diet ...Have fruit and vegetables..
3. Don't drink hot water or honey etc...drink lots of normal water with a lemon squeezed..you can skip lemon but drink atleast 1 litre water first thing in morning...then walk for 10 minutes..after that u can start workout.
4. cardio for 20 minutes is very important ..jogging, fast walk, jumping rope etc, cycling etc .it will increase blood flow in body especially towards ovaries..DONT OVERDO ANYTHING ...excessive workout will increase coristol (a stress hormone)
5. do strength training specially belly focused..like - glute bridge , cobra pose, butterfly pose. place your legs against wall for 5 minutes daily..it will increase blood flow towards uterus and ovaries..
6. never diet in case of pcos...infact you should take 6 small meals a day consist of lots of fresh fruits and grains..pcos patients have insulin resistance..so hunger will worsen your condition...avoid sugar ..have natural sugar through fruits ..sugar and dairy are worst for pcos..
8. last and very important - sleep at least 8 hours a day...you should try to sleep around 10 at night and wake up around 6.... doesn't matter how much you workout...lack of sleep will not let anything improve ... moreover from 10 to 6 only your hormones repair themselves...so have good night sleep... also don't take stress ..try to avoid overthinking ...if possible after workout or yoga, do meditation for 5 minutes...
try to follow these tips and let me know after two weeks ..whether you see any improvement ...

Having PCOD should not be the excuse that you are not able to loose weight, Yes weight loss is bit resistant but through regular exercise whichever works best for you and balanced deit are the key to your result. Get up early in the morning, wear clothes in which you feel confident and comfortable for workout and just start moving yourself. Stick to the plan for atleast 15 days get adjust to it then see the miracle when you yourself won't start your day without workout.
