I heard if you use honey and Apple cider vinegar it helps as a weight loss aid. I also heard about kefir too. Which would y'all prefer, Or, would you do both on a regular basis?

I'd recommend only listening to doctors and peer-reviewed studies, since a lot of these things have no significant scientific support behind them. I'm always wary of "diet tricks"

I’ve heard that too but don’t hold much faith in it. I thought it just regulated your blood ph to zero each morning. I’d need to look up the benefits of apple cider vinegar to know for sure. Minimal at best I’m guessing.

I agree with that too Taiwyn. I am very wary of far diets and diet hacks myself.

I don't know about magical solutions, but I just happened to have both when I read your post yesterday and tried it. 1 tbsp of raw honey in 1 cup of unsweetened 1% fat kefir and it tastes really good. I then diluted it with water to make a drink and really liked it.

I drink a tablespoon or two of apple cider vinegar in green tea almost every day. I would not add honey. I use a calorie free coffee syrup to offset the sour taste. Kefir would probably great great for your gut health, but would not be a magic bullet for weight loss.

I think things like this make a marginal difference. Keep focused on calories eaten and staying active to burn calories

I was on organic apple cider vinegar in water as my first beverage of the day. It helped curb my appetite until 9am- 10am. I'm up at 5am. It works. But, I missed my morning joe too much, will get back to it soon. I put my hubby on organic kefir to help his gut and improve his immune system. I didn't make my own, it can get expensive. Overall it was to improve health. If you feel healthy, it'll keep you on track with exercise and weight loss goals. The way I look at it. Anything you add that's a healthy habit is a good thing. Any unhealthy food choice you eliminate or avoid is a good thing. Love your body & it will love you back. Good in, good out. Baby steps...Changes are challenging.

Carbs is what makes us overweight. Eliminate the carbs and the weight comes off. Your body might complain for a day or two but it will learn to deal. Coffee is OK. You need some mineral supplements when on Keto. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwi3h-rFmdbyAhXyUd8KHT0YDJcQFnoECAUQAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fpwop.com%2Fdownload%2FTheKetogenicDietInANutshell.pdf&usg=AOvVaw0JZODxVeyRCtzSmBT2xAWw

I can't attest to any weight loss properties, but water kefir is low-cal and sweet enough to hit the sweet tooth spot.

Count your calories, Morgan- and unless you particularly love honey or apple cider vinegar- no need for that. Keep doing what you are doing. Burn more calories than you take in and you will consistently lose weight. Carbs will never make you overweight. Excess calories will. ;) Carbs will give you energy to get your exercise done. 💪🏻🏋🏻‍♂️

Carbs don't make us overweight, excess calories from all sources do. Eliminate carbs, eliminate water, not necessarily fat unless you're in a deficit. Beware misinformation. Honey and apple cider vinegar don't do anything special. Neither does kefir, though if you like them, include them in your diet.

And if you do plan to take ACV, dilute it and use a straw. It tastes awful and it's terrible for your teeth.

I find that ACV helps curb my appetite. I drink it (1 T) in a large glass of water with a bit of stevia. Honey is empty calories.

The answer as always is, - try it and see if it works for you. PS I have found that I can't really control what I eat unless I cook it myself. If you don't cook, maybe the best gift you can give yourself is to learn to cook a few simple healthy meals.
