Animal Hero's Journal, 14 Mar 11

So yesterday I lowered my RDA again from 1800 to 1600 calories a day. Since the first day of March, I have walked 2miles everyday, for all but 3 days in the two weeks I've missed my 2mile walk. I was proud of myself for being so committed to my routine. I even added on the second week of March, riding my bike. I started the first two days at 15 minutes a day and worked my way up to 30 minutes, which I'm at now. I am dong this 30 minute bike ride in addition to my 2 mile walk - and have been for the last 8 days. I plan my meals days in advance, I maliciously spend time logging everything I consume (good and bad) I even carry a little black book with me at all times to write it down in case I can't get to fatsecret at that time. Truthfully as I write this journal, I am VERY frustrated to admit that I have actually gained three pounds since I started my routine. I'm back up to 230 and I am so very frustrated. I'm putting forth so much hard work and effort and I'm not seeing any results for my efforts. This isn't fair, I won't to cry right now, seriously. :*( The only thing I have left to try is cut out all my carbs (against the advice of my nutritionist)... I don't know what else to do!

I'm tying a calorie reduction as well. If it doesn't work... then I'm going to increase it. If you were sedentary before (like me) and then rambo up to a lot activity (in comparison) plus lower calories there's a chance our net loss it too big... which stalls us. It's difficult for me to really believe... but many many people have posted that if their defecit gets too low... the scale stops... until they increase their calories... then its starts dropping again. More importantly think how much more fit you will be with all this movement. It's so good for our bodies. Hang in there. We'll find what workable for us. It just might take some trial and error.
