I'm a little annoyed. When you weigh yourself on a set of scales and get one number and try another set of scales you get a different number which one should you go by? Then if you go to the doctor and get weighed you could end up with a third number! For anyone that reads this which one do you go by and do you find a digital or a regular set of scales more accurate? It can be frustrating to keep getting different numbers!

Well of course I like the one that reads the lowest... :) The best solution I found to this problem was just to go out and buy myself a digital scale. (Admittedly, I tested them all at Bed, Bath and Beyond and bought the one that read the lowest weight when I stood on it.) Just decide that THAT'S the scale that "counts" and use that number. It doesn't necessarily matter EXACTLY what you weight... just how much the scale moves up or down, right? If you just keep track of the difference, you'll have lost 5 lbs. if it says you lost 5 lbs., and THAT is when you'll feel great! Personally, I like digital, because with an analog scale, I used to find myself tilting my head to one side or the other to read it differently. Digital gives you one number. Even if it's not EXACT, again, you will be able to see your day-to-day difference clearly. If you also keep some mental note of what you weigh at the doctor, you'll begin to figure out a consistent difference between the two, and you'll feel great when you go back to the doctor after a year, and it's less than last time. :) Never use the one at the gym, in my opinion... Too many people mess with it; it's probably never calibrated right, and it's definitely not calibrated the same from visit to visit.

Thanks I think I'm going to stick with a digital scale as well. I found one at Walmart and it's decent, digital and I like the number it gave me lol.
