Mightymurse, with ya, used to like the crunch decades ago, Milky Ways are now the way to go for me, almost as good as See’s. I guess every now and then we could use a little sweetness in our life. Happy Halloween Morgan!🐈‍⬛🎃👻 I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers, for this witch can be bribed with chocolate! 😋

I feel like I’m the only one who has actually looked at the logged foods on Morgan’s diet calendar and wants to help. All you others are just virtue signaling.

I’m not here telling you what to eat…because I don’t know if you’ve spoken with a dietician or a physician or what. But eggs, vegetables, nuts, baked chicken, baked fish, baked pork, berries, whole grains and water are pretty universal if that’s what the doctor orders.

The food diary and calendar are about being honest with yourself so you get a real picture of what you are doing that isn't working. If we police peoples diaries they will think twice about recording honestly. I record everything. Even if it's a single bite or if I go off the rails one day. The good, the bad and the ugly. That's necessary for true change.

I want to be Switzerland. But, I can't help myself. Here goes...

Speaking for myself, I would not want my problem highlighted even though intention is pure & good. I would like to receive it in private. That said, Morgan can stand up for herself.

Shame & food cannot be tied together. I've been trying to crowd out bad food choices with better healthier choices. Hence, I'm overeating. My method is not better. I think everyone has to fight their demons in their own time with gentle support. Addiction is hard, food or other types. If I can't IF I will have to go medication route. Discipline comes with practice and a whole mind set. Some of us are just not there yet. Yours truly.

My guru keeps telling me about "Craving to quit". He recommended twice, as he using it. He's a vegan, an MD, and acupuncturist, and uses it as his guide in his journey. I'm not there yet. This app is suppose to be like the next best thing since Deepak Chopra. Right now I'm reading the Little book of quitting. This is my long winded way to say. We all have our own path & journey.

Very well said, AC…there’s a setting for private journals and food entries as well here and we all have the option of flipping that switch. I don’t think that helps someone who needs help though. Anyhow…signing off this thread.

People who have had a bit of success for a brief period (a few months, meaningless when it comes to maintaining weight loss and a healthy lifestyle) tend to be extremely arrogant about what they know and overbearing in doling out unsolicited advice to others. Your advice will mean something when as a male you've maintained 10-15% body fat for two or more years. Until then, this just comes across as a n00b bullying people not as far along on their journey to feel good. Back to eating truffles and maintaining a better ass than the people starving on under a thousand calories.

It's kind of creepy how you're reading people's food diaries in detail. Who cares? Paid registered dieticians who know the patient's history can do that and give advice that's actually personal and based in training, not someone who is all excited about having lost a bit of fat right now.

Ok…one more post, lol. Way to show your true colors, Alcestis. Are you any better than you accuse me of being as you make a feeble attempt to diminish my accomplishments, which are otherwise applauded if I just shut my mouth?

Your accomplishments don't make you an expert. You've just started this weight loss/fitness/health thing and yet you think you're in a position to tell people who didn't ask what to eat and what to do. Just sayin I'm going to listen to the guy who's been doing this for 10+ years and is at 10% body fat while eating a bit candy.

AS, I read other people's food dairy when I'm not lazy. It's a learning tool. They left it open, to me it an invite to read. SK is not creepy, he's being a Dad. Sorry SK, speaking up for you.

He is being a dad, as in, just like my dad when he loses 15lbs by going all gung ho then gets smug and lectures everyone for two months before he's back where he started. The food diary is a log. Sure, if it's public people can read it, but that's not an invitation to criticize it, especially ordering people what to eat or not eat with rude language.

Life can be a struggle, we can all use as much love and grace as possible. And occasionally a nestles crunch. We all have opinions and we are entitled to have opinions, the question that must be asked is what is our motivation for expressing that opinion . Will it help? Will it hurt?
