My husband has been drifting into a new hobby: duck hunting. I'll spare you all the redneck details, just take my word for it when I say that he has a tendency to go overboard when taking on new hobbies. This morning he was invited on an impromptu duck hunt, and he came home with one duck. Although it may not be a popular opinion, I like that my husband is taking interest in hunting. I like the idea of getting meat from the wilderness rather than over populated over medicated non organic sources. I'm probably very ignorant to the whole situation, and I kinda like it that way. So please don't educate me!

My point is that I was surprised to see what little yield one duck actually brings. I fried up the breasts with Pam, salt and pepper... it was amazing. Almost like a beef steak, but with the buttery softness. The texture was perfect.
