Well look, the last few months have been a bit of a shocker, essentially 5kg bounce back up. There's no excuses, I've made some poor choices and been so busy making sure everyone else was sorted that I've not stuck to my boundaries and what I know I need. BUT I am still 23kg down on when I started September 2020 and still much lower than I was this time last year. I'm also carrying more muscle and am much fitter and my new slim clothes are still comfy (just!). Today I weighed in for the last time aged 49. Tomorrow is my 50th birthday and I am feeling really good about where I am. But I am going to turn this around and get back down to my fighting weight and do better at maintaining it, starting... OK, starting next Monday if I am realistic! Tomorrow there will be friends and food and wine and on Friday I am being taken away for the night for a meal and a birthday treat. I am going to enjoy it! BUT I am still going to be sensible starting today, allowing for those treats. Then as of Monday it's going to be no alcohol for a few weeks, logging everything, no snacks and watching those pounds drop back off. That's my weight goals. I will post again tomorrow, when I am 50 (! still feel 28 obviously) with my fitness goals and projects for this year. I'll be back on Monday supporting and cheering you all on.
