Day 4!!!

First Time with Intermittent Fasting and I must admit I find it easier than I thought it would be! I'm on a 16-8 and I skip breakfast. I even managed a 17hour fast today. I have no problem with sugar - I love my black coffee. I even find the water easy. Carbs is a problem for me, but I try very hard to substitute that. I do need inspiration for breaking the fast! I've read all the notes, but still need it. I wish the scale said more, but I assume that will come with time. Feeling positive and keeping Strong!!!!

Welcome to IF 🌻 you don't have to cut out any food groups, just make small changes and enjoy in moderation. Albany kilojoule controlled brown bread is lowest in calories, also have spekko rice as it has less cals compared to tastic.

how I break a fast is by allowing my digestive systems to slowly wake back up. about half an hour before my first meal, I will have a small protein based snack. biltong, a but of cheese, a boiled egg, a few tablespoons of yogurt etc. breaking a fast with fibre/veggies/salad can be hard on your system.

Hi Farmgirl if I was you I would cut more down on the Carbs - remember Actually, for every gram of carbohydrate you consume and your body keeps to use as energy, your body hoards 3 to 4 grams of water to help store the energy (glycogen).

hi there, I am new to this app and I was reading through the comments wondering if anyone is doing 16-8, so I was very happy to see your post. I am doing the 16-8 and I really don't mind not eating breakfast. I am just struggling to figure out what to eat the rest of the time. my stomach have shrunk so much and I don't know what to eat for 2300cal a day yesterday I had 539 left. so today I go again. I really hope you do well.

Hi peapop, those calories seems high... Where did you calculate your RDI? For how long have you been on those calories and have you lost any weight?

Hi Mandy, I got it from this app, I do have a lot of weight to lose, like nearly 80kg. I have lost 1.5kg in two weeks. So now I am doing this app with my IF. I was looking for info everywhere and I have learned so much from this app. Like I didn't know I was not supposed to drink milk in my Rea during my fast.

I see, okay that makes sense... You can still have milk in your coffee/tea during your fast, it will then just be a dirty fast. But if you can do black unsweetened yhen that's even better. If you haven't already, join Intermittent Fasting For Women South Africa on Facebook. It has changed my life.
